Mixing it up.

Yesterday at the tutor gathering I was chatting with a number of people about non-Baha'i Children's Classes vs. Baha'i Children's classes. Usually we seem to think of them in terms of either/or instead of having them just be one Children's Class with Baha'is and non-Baha'is.

Perhaps for our classes which contain mostly children of non-Baha'i families, we could think of perhaps inviting some children from Baha'i families who live close by to join. A child's Baha'i identity is really best forged when they interact with other children as Baha'is, instead of just having their lives be so compartmentalized with having their Baha'i life there and their regular life there. They should come to see themselves as Baha'is in all situations and places.

So think of the area your class is in and try and find out which families live nearby who might be able to take their kids to the class.
